Here are some general notes for setting up the SATO CL408e RFID for operation with Coolearth's RFID enabled applications.

RFID Menu Settings

Getting to the RFID Menu

Turn the printer off. Turn the printer on while holding the "LINE" button down. The printer will turn on and beep. You can release the button at any time after the beep.

Printer must be set for RFID Command Type "New"

Printer ships set to "Old" -- RFID codes are silently ignored in this mode.

Printer must be set to RFID Protocol "GEN2"

This is the default.

Printer must be set to RFID Tag Data Area "96 Bits"

This is the default.

Printer must be set to RFID I/O Base-X "ASCII"

This is the default.
