To install Coolearth webservices, first install Windows 2008 Server R2 with Service Pack 2.

Add the Web Server role, and configure the role services as follows:

  IIS 6 Scripting Tools
  IIS 6 Management Console
WMI Compatibility Plot installed

Create a domain user with write privileges to the web application directory tree.

Deploy the service using the provided installer and provide the credentials to the installer when prompted. The installer will deposit the webservice in a predetermined directory located under the root for the Default Web Site and assign it to an app pool, which it will likewise create.
